This sequel has nothing to do with the original, Hardbodies (1984), which took place in Southern California and had a surfer named "Fraggle." Here we're are on the beaches of Greece, which, as the opening credits aggressively inform us, there are topless sun bathers. Like Truffaut's Day for Night (1973), Hardbodies 2 (1986) is a film about shooting a film, albeit a teen-sex comedy about filming a teen sex comedy. The actors portraying actors behave the same as the characters they portray in the movie within the movie. Only character actor James Karen seems to have fun, probably because he got a free trip to Greece.  First time I've "meta" a meta-film I didn't like.

Entourage fun fact: Ari's wife, Mrs. Ari, appeared in the non-existent sequel, Hardbodies 3.

6/24/18 Episode 107: The Werewolf of Washington (1973)

The Werewolf of Washington (1973) succeeds as a Watergate satire with its silly but dry dream-like premise. It's about a werewolf in Washington during 1973. Wolfie in question is the Press Secretary, and, yes, he bites the President. As Carl points out on the podcast, actor Biff McGuire plays the President as Nixon but without the signature cadence. He's wonderful in a scene that takes place in the underground White House two-lane bowling alley. Film was later repurposed into the art house film, President Wolfman (2012).
