7/2/17 Episode 56: Dragstrip Riot (1958)
Listen to Let's Watch A Full-Length Movie on YouTube podcast and watch Dragstrip Riot (1958), embedded above, at the same time. Start with the podcast. Click here to launch podcast in a separate browser.
Dragstrip Riot (1958) gives the kids of the era what they want: a musical number with Connie Stevens, a Calypso number at the beach, and a bunch of Corvettes going vroom, vroom. Bad guy threatens our hero with a spear gun, and that's all I remember. Nice to see what the star of King Kong (1933), Fay Wray, looked like in 1958 (looking good). The malt shop set, however, looks like shit; Happy Days had a better set.
Carl and I are joined by Carl's brother, Marcus. Marcus tells us his experience being interviewed by Michael Moore in the movie, Capitalism: A Love Story (2009).
