01/22/17 Episode 33: Hitler's Folly (2016)

Listen to Let's Watch A Full-Length Movie on YouTube and watch Hitler's Folly (2016), embedded above, at the same time. Start with the podcast. Click here to launch podcast in a separate browser.

The story of our movie begins with animator Bill Plympton releasing a free full-length movie on YouTube and ends with the AV Club calling it one of the 20 worst movies of 2016 (#12, in fact). Anyone expecting animation will be disappointed watching this unwatchable 68-minute live-action mockumentary called Hitler's Folly (2016). It answers the question, "What if Hitler was an animator?" Co-host Carl and Mike Spiegelman have never asked that question but they watch it. They then watch clips from their old New Jersey public access show, Fish Burgers. Finally Carl plays a 1994 recording of Spiegelman's stand-up act which vexes present-day Spiegelman.
